A 2010 Update from the Q's
Hey there Family & Friends, Happy 2010!!! First off, I apologize for being such a bad blogger lately. I know I am WAY behind on my updates... and I don't really have much of an excuse other than, I've been busy, keeping up with 2 beautiful girls. :)
Alyssa & Olivia are doing great! Alyssa is loving being a big sister! She is such a wonderful helper and loves to hold and kiss her sis. She is coming down from her 'Christmas high' slowly but surely. For a week or so there were a surplus of tantrums and tears, but I think she's better now for the most part. Christmas was a BIG deal to her this year, and it was built up for so long, then all of a sudden it was over and done after one day of bliss, which is a lot to handle for a 2 year old, I think. She is enjoying all of her presents and her favorite part is getting everything out and playing with it all at once. She loves to dress up like a princess and put on concerts for us. She's our little Rock Star. :)
Olivia is growing like crazy!! She is sooo big already, much bigger than Alyssa was when she was her age. She outgrew all of her newborn clothes right away and is already in size 3-6 months in a lot of things. She's our little Rolly Polly Olli- via. She is so cute! I am even starting to notice a cute little personality forming during the brief moments of alertness when she's awake. I had forgotten how much they sleep at this age, but of course Alyssa makes up for it by being super hyper during all of her waking hours! ;) I have a feeling Olivia is going to be another Daddy's Girl, just like her big sis. She smiles most for Travis, just the sound of his voice makes her smile. and She grunts, a lot! She is a noisy little Olivia. I'm not sure how much she weighs right now, last time we checked it was close to 9 pounds but I have a feeling it's more around 10-12 pounds now. She goes in for her 8 week check up in 2 weeks so I'll post an update then. At her 2 week visit she surprised us all and rolled completely over right there on the doctor's exam table. Her pediatrician was amazed and said that she has NEVER seen a 2 week old do that before!! If she keeps up at this rate, she'll be crawling in no time, yikes! ;)
I'm doing awesome too! I am very much enjoying life with two daughters. It's better than I could of ever imagined. I feel so blessed and I am trying to cherish every little moment because I know how fast they slip away. The first 6 weeks have already flown by and I can feel time speeding up every day. I wish there was a way I could slow it all down and keep them young for just a little bit longer. I don't have much else going on, other than motherhood and being a wife to my amazing husband. And speaking of the best husband in the world, Travis is doing wonderful too! He is loving his ladies- all 3 of us! ;) The other day he said to me, "I never thought I'd love being surrounded by so much estrogen!" :D
Well that's all for now, I'll go ahead and finish this off with a quote that's really hit home for me lately and I hope it does for you too, "Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize, they were the BIG things."
