WOOO HOO!! SPRING BREAK!!
So, our nephew TJ is staying with us this week for Spring Break and we are having such a BLAST!! We have been super busy doing crafts, playing outside, taking trips to the park...
(Don't worry, I've taken a bunch of pics and I promise to post them all really soon!)
On a side note Olivia had a check up today and here are her stats:
She weighed in at 14lbs. and measured 25 inches long
She is in the 50th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height.
Poor Livi had to get 3 shots again this time. She's been such a trooper though and is still all smiles! She also gets to start eating solids now and enjoyed a yummy bowl of bananas & rice cereal this afternoon. :)
Well, we only have 2 more days with TJ and I know I'm going to be really sad to see him go. It's been great catching up with the little guy after so long, and what we're realizing, is that he is not the same silly little TJ we once knew. Though he is still quite silly, he is growing into such a bright, caring, and funny little dude. Alyssa completely adores him and is LOVING having someone to play with. And even though I'm super exhausted by the end of the day, and way behind on a lot of things, I wouldn't trade this time that I have with the kids for anything! I feel extremely blessed and thank God for it all. Watching these little ones grow up is definitely the saddest and most wonderful thing in the world!

TGIF
Happy Friday!
Alyssa's been CRACKING me UP all morning and Olivia is being cute as ever! I am so thankful that I get to stay home with them and wouldn't trade it for the world!!Yesterday we had a fun-filled & much needed Girls Day. I took Lyss out for breakfast to her favorite diner, Black Bear. She absolutely loves that they have bears everywhere and kept saying, "Sssh Mom! Don't wake up the bears!!" :) After breakfast we headed to Kiddoz for some fun.
As you can see both of my girls had a BLAST!
Later on, we met up with Grandpa for dinner at Izzy's in Redmond. It was wonderful visiting with my Dad and the food was great! We stopped and did a little shopping on the way home and spent the rest of the night cuddling in bed watching Coraline (a super cool movie, by the way). Trav got to go to a snowmobiling movie showing at Mcmenamins. He had a great time and even won a shovel and a few other cool prizes. So it ended up being a fun night for everyone. :)

Stuff I did today:
3 loads of laundry-folded & put away
2 loads of dishes
served breakfast, 2 snacks & a lunch to a very picky 2 year old and dinner to a couple of over zealous dogs
bathed 2 dogs, one being a very dirty German shepherd who has one shedding schedule and it's 365 days a year!
disinfected, scrubbed and washed the bathroom from top to bottom -including all the hair from said german shepherd
discarded old scrubby shower curtain and hung up new pretty shower curtains as well as new garbage can, rug, hand towels and toothbrush holder
bathed & dressed 2 beautiful princesses
took an approx. 13 minute shower
discovered that baby sleeps much more soundly when she is put to bed with Mommy's worn t-shirt
wiped kitchen counters and table top
swept& mopped floors (didn't get to mopping today)
vacuumed carpets
picked up all the toys in Alyssa's room THREE times (and I'm sad to say it's currently just as messy as it was when we started, if not messier!)
cooked dinner for a family of 3 1/2
nursed a super cute & chubby baby every 3 hours or so :)
read 3 bedtime stories
snuggled with my hubby on the couch in front of the television until bedtime....

Good Monday Morning....
...is there really such a thing?? Like most of you, I'm not a fan of Mondays. BUT- it's a beautiful day and I'm finally able to breathe through my nose again, so I can't complain too much. We had an alright weekend. It was as good as could be expected while being sick. Trav was such a sweetheart and let me sleep in on both days. Last night we were up late working on Trav's big presentation for tomorrow. I say we, when all I really did was help him find a few graphics for his slide show, but I like to think that I had a large contribution to his success. ;)
I woke up early this morning, just to kiss him goodbye and wish him good luck. And now I am enjoying my coffee while the girls sleep for just a little longer. My goal for today is to deep clean our bathroom, and please hold me to it!! I picked up new hand towels, shower curtain, a rug and a toothbrush holder yesterday along with a bunch of cleaning supplies and I hope to have the bathroom fully transformed before 5pm today. So more on that to come! I also have some laundry to tackle and the usual, kitchen that needs cleaned and living room that needs dusted. And another thing I really should do is dig out a new tote of baby clothes from the garage. Olivia is now 3 months and fitting into size 6 months clothes, so most of the clothes in her closet are now obsolete. Time to put up a lot on Craig's list!! I'll just add that to my ever long to-do list...
Before I go grab another cup of coffee and make breakfast, I'll post a few pics from over the weekend.
