Alyssa's TWO!

I haven't gotten around to posting pictures from Alyssa's 2nd Birthday, because we've been too busy having way too much fun!!

We've pretty much been celebrating Alyssa's birthday all week! AND with Mother's day coming up, I know the fun is just going to continue through the weekend! Alyssa's grandparents came over for dinner on Sunday. Daddy made some delicious steaks and we watched a movie while Alyssa played with her birthday presents.

She got a new Dora Vanity that she absolutely LOVES!! She seriously hasn't stopped playing with it! We think she even dreamed about it that night, because when I layed her down in bed she sat up and sort of mumbled something about hair and barrettes and started grabbing at the blanket as if she was still sitting at her vanity playing Beauty Shop. :D


Grandpa G got her a Sleepytime Dora doll, to add to her collection of Doras. Mamaw and Poppy got her some fancy new flip-flops, a T-ball set and a Little People School house. Grandma Berk sent a beautiful Mommy and me doll. And Auntie Ashes & Uncle K got her a fuzzy purple phone and enough bubbles to last us a lifetime! So now Alyssa has the best of both worlds, she can get all dolled up before she heads out to the field to play ball, blow some bubbles if she loses interest in the game, then come home and take care of her babies, and when the babies go to bed she gets to make long distance calls to her family! ;)





Monday Alyssa officially turned TWO! She got lots of online birthday wishes and she enjoyed Mommy pampering her and treating her like the princess she is, all day! We must have sang The Birthday Song 100 times, which seems to be her favorite song now! She had a blast cutting, blow drying and curling mommy's hair along with all of the baby dolls in the house. When Daddy came home from work we all sat down for dinner and Birthday Cake.



It's crazy how much she's grown up in just the past year. For her 1st birthday she wasn't super interested in the cupcakes, this time, it was a different story! ;)




Then Tuesday evening Alyssa's Best Friend Kayala came over for a Slumber Party!!! The girls had a blast playing, giggling and screaming all evening! We finally sat down to watch a movie and for some popcorn, then before I knew it all three of us girls were asleep. The next morning the girls woke up early and the fun continued... :)






We plan on going to the parks on Friday if the weather's nice. Alyssa and I have been couped up for too long! Fortunately she's great at finding ways to keep us both occupied!! :)
